NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Titans offensive linemen Brian Schwenke and Chance Warmack will kick off the Academy Sports + Outdoor Titans Caravan on Monday, May 12, headlining the first day of the team's week-long annual trip through the Mid-South. The Caravan will stop Monday in the communities of Florence, Ala., and Madison, Ala.
The second-year offensive linemen begin the day with a 1 p.m. public autograph signing at Buffalo Wild Wings in Florence (2870 Florence Boulevard). The pair then will make a public visit at Academy Sports + Outdoors at 6:30 p.m. in Madison (7506 Highway 72 W).
Schwenke is entering his second NFL season. A fourth-round pick (107th overall) in the 2013 NFL Draft, the University of California product started nine games at center for the Titans in his rookie campaign. In four seasons with the Golden Bears (2009-12), he played in 48 of 50 possible games and as a senior was named first-team All-Pac-12 by the league's coaches. At the 2013 NFL Combine, he ranked among the event's top offensive linemen in several categories, including the three-cone drill (tied for second place at 7.31 seconds), 40-yard dash (sixth at 4.99 seconds), broad jump (tied for 10th at 108 inches) and bench press (tied for eighth with 31 reps of 225 pounds).
Warmack is also entering his second NFL campaign. With the 10th overall selection in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Titans selected the former Alabama guard and he started all 16 games at right guard in his first NFL season. The 6-foot-2-inch, 323-pound lineman arrived with an impressive list of collegiate attributes and accomplishments. During his time at Alabama, the Crimson Tide won three BCS National Championships, taking the title during his freshman (2009), junior (2011) and senior (2012) seasons. Warmack became the first offensive lineman selected by the Titans/Oilers in the first round since tackle Brad Hopkins (13th overall) in 1993 and the first guard selected by the club in the first round since Bruce Matthews (ninth overall) in 1983.
Academy Sports + Outdoor Titans Caravan public stops are free events that allow fans to meet players, T-Rac and the "Voice of the Titans" Mike Keith. Posters are provided at no cost to all Caravan attendees for autographs, and photos are encouraged. Public stops generally last one hour.
Titans Caravan began in 1998 as a small effort to spread goodwill through the region. Today, seven full-time staffers travel with Titans players and T-Rac through the Mid-South on a specially-decorated motor coach. Since 1998, the Caravan has made over 800 stops and allowed the team to interact directly with an estimated audience well in excess of 150,000 fans.
