NASHVILLE – Titans coach Brian Callahan spoke to reporters before Wednesday's practice.
The team is scheduled to practice from 12:45-2 p.m. today to prepare for Sunday's game vs the Minnesota Vikings.
Some real quick highlights on what Callahan, aka "Cally", said before I head to practice:
-Callahan said the team plans to rest some guys in Wednesday's practice. He reiterated the team didn't have any new injuries out of the Chargers game.
-Callahan said the parents of cornerback Darrell Baker Jr., retired U.S. Army veterans, will serve as the Honorary 12th Titans for Sunday's game, part of the NFL's Salute to Service month.
-Offensive lineman Logan Bruss, who on Tuesday was claimed off waivers from the Rams, will compete at guard for the Titans, Callahan said. Bruss arrived in town, but he probably won't practice on Wednesday, Callahan said.
-Callahan said he's seen improvement from quarterback Will Levis. Asked if eight more games will be enough to determine whether Levis can be "the guy" moving forward, Callahan said he wants to see Levis keep making progress. "It's hard to put a timeline on that," Callahan said. "For me, I'm looking for things every game, every practice. If he improves the play that he had as week, we're all going to feel really good about how he's played the position through two games back (from injury). We're just going to keep stacking those games."
-Callahan said Levis didn't have any setbacks with his right shoulder from the Chargers game, and he anticipates him being able to practice this week.
-Callhan said right guard Dillon Radunz has played well, and gotten better, although he acknowledged he didn't play his best game this past Sunday against the Chargers, perhaps because of lingering issues with an injury, and missed practice time.
