NASHVILLE – Titans coach Brian Callahan spoke to reporters before Wednesday's practice.
The team is scheduled to practice from 12:45-2 p.m. today to prepare for Sunday's game at the Los Angeles Chargers.
Some real quick highlights on what Callahan, aka "Cally", said before I head to practice:
-Callahan said the plan is for quarterback Will Levis to get more reps today, and this week.
The Titans will monitor Levis, who has missed the past three games while recovering from his right shoulder injury, during the week.
The hope is for him to return to action on Sunday against the Chargers.
"His reps should uptick," Callahan said of Levis. "We're trying to get him back rolling, and hopeful that's sooner rather than later here. … Mason (Rudolph) still needs to be ready to play, and he'll still take some reps, but we'd like to increase Will's workload this week certainly."
-The Titans officially agreed to terms with veteran safety Mike Edwards.
Callahan indicated there's a chance he could practice as early as today, assuming he passes a physical, and signs.
"It's a possibility," he said. "But we'll see. … He's a solid player who became available, and we found a way to make that happen."
-Callahan said cornerback L'Jarius Sneed, who has missed the last three games with an injury, is getting closer to returning to action. He'll be ramped up in the rehab process, "and we'll see where he progresses to."
-Callahan said right guard Dillon Radunz is also progressing "and he has a chance" to return to action after missing Sunday's game with a foot injury.
-Callahan said cornerback Chido Awuzie, who remains on Injured Reserve, could return to practice in the next few weeks.
-Callahan said edge rusher Arden Key is benefiting from his extra work in recent weeks, when he's recorded a sack in the past three games. "Arden always plays with a ton of energy and a ton of effort and passion," Callahan said. "I think you see it starting to break through a bit for him."
-Callahan said the Titans will have a walkthrough practice on Wednesday, with the Injury Report looking more like an estimation on who practiced. A lot of players are nursing ailments, so the team will scale things back a bit, he said.
