NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Titans and Bridgestone are teaming up with local PGA pro Brandt Snedeker in a unique golf-themed halftime charity event during their Nov. 17 Monday Night Football game at LP Field.
During halftime, Snedeker will attempt five shots towards Bridgestone-themed targets located on the field. For all successful attempts, the Titans and Bridgestone will donate a total of up to $50,000 to the YWCA of Nashville & Middle Tennessee to help increase awareness and support domestic violence prevention.
"We're proud to be a part of this important partnership with Bridgestone during our Monday night game," said Don MacLachlan, Titans Executive Vice President of Administration and Facilities. "Not only will this unique charity event increase awareness, but it will help raise funds for the YWCA to stop domestic violence."
In addition, all fans in attendance will receive a purple bracelet courtesy of Bridgestone in support of Domestic Violence prevention. Fans will be encouraged to join the cause via donation by texting "YWCA" to 88588, which will be highlighted on the bracelet.
"We're excited to partner with the Tennessee Titans, the YWCA and Brandt Snedeker on bringing increased awareness to domestic violence; not only in the Middle Tennessee community, but across the national stage provided by ESPN's Monday Night Football programming," said Phil Pacsi, Vice President of Sports/Events Marketing and Training for the Nashville-based Bridgestone Americas. "Bridgestone has been a proud supporter of the YWCA and its programs for more than 20 years, and we encourage all fans in attendance to text-to-donate and we hope everyone enjoys the halftime show Brandt puts on."
"The YWCA offers safety and healing 24 hours a day, seven days a week to women and children fleeing domestic abuse," said Pat Shea, President and CEO of the YWCA of Nashville & Middle Tennessee. "The NFL and PGA enjoy incredibly influential platforms, and we are so grateful to the Titans and Bridgestone for taking a public stand against the often private crime of domestic violence."
