Bironas booted three field goals in the victory, connecting from 40, 54 and 33 yards. He also converted on his extra-point attempt and recorded one solo tackle on special teams. His 54-yarder gave Tennessee a 13-10 lead with 7:33 on the clock in the fourth quarter. Bironas' 33-yard conversion with 2:56 remaining sealed the win for the Titans.
Bironas will represent the AFC as its kicker for the 2008 Pro Bowl in Hawaii this February. He closed out the regular season ranked third in the NFL and second in the AFC in scoring among kickers with a career-high 133 points, the second-highest total in team history. His 35 field goals this season, also a career-high, led the NFL.
This marks the second time this season and the third time in his career Bironas has been awarded AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors. For his eight field goals in a 38-36 win over Houston (10/21), Bironas was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 7. After converting 13 of 14 field goals and each of his six extra-point attempts during the
month, he was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for October. Bironas is the fourth different Titans player to receive AFC Player of the Week honors during the 2007 season.
