NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans added S Josh Aubrey to the active roster from their practice squad. To make room on the roster, RB Dexter McCluster was placed on injured reserve. Additionally, the team signed QB Mike Kafka and WR Nick Harwell to the practice squad.
Aubrey (5-10, 207) originally signed with the Titans during training camp, was waived at final preseason cuts and re-signed to the team's practice squad. Aubrey has eight games of NFL experience over two seasons, after entering the league with Cleveland as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He played six games as rookie for the Browns and two games last year in Houston. He was a four-year starter and four-time all-conference selection at Stephen F. Austin as a corner. For his college career, he posted 255 tackles, 3.5 sacks, seven interceptions and 29 passes defensed.
Kafka (6-3, 230) entered the NFL as a fourth-round selection by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2010. He has played in four games for the Eagles in 2011 and spent time with Jacksonville, Tampa Bay and Minnesota. He played his college football at Northwestern, where he started 19 games during his career.
Harwell (5-11, 195) signed as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys, following this year's NFL Draft. He played three seasons for Miami (Ohio) and his final season at Kansas. Over his college career, Harwell recorded 273 receptions for 3,636 yards and 28 touchdowns. As a sophomore for the Redhawks, he caught a school-record 97 passes for 1,425 yards and nine touchdowns.
