NASHVILLE – The Titans released their first 2022 Unofficial Depth Chart of the regular season on Monday.
I say this every time I do one of these: The word "Unofficial" is written in bold letters across the top.
But, still, everyone loves taking a peek at the initial depth chart.
On Sunday, the team will kick off the regular season against the New York Giants at Nissan Stadium.
Here's a look at 15 things that caught my eye when I got my hands on it:
-Robert Woods and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine are listed as the team's starting receivers, with Treylon Burks and Kyle Philips listed as back-ups at each spot. Cody Hollister is behind them.
-Dontrell Hilliard is listed as Derrick Henry's back-up, with running backs Hassan Haskins and Julius Chestnut next.
-Aaron Brewer is listed as the starter at left guard, as expected, with Jamarco Jones behind him.
-Nicholas Petit-Frere is the starting right tackle, again no surprise. Dennis Daley is the back-up at left and right tackle.
-Dillon Radunz is listed as the back-up at right guard, behind Nate Davis.
-Can't leave out the QB spot, even if it's as we all know: Ryan Tannehill is the starter, with Malik Willis listed as the No.2. (Logan Woodside is on the practice squad).
-DeMarcus Walker is the starting defensive end in a starting defensive line that also includes DT Jeffery Simmons and NT Teair Tart.
-Denico Autry is listed as a starting outside linebacker, opposite Bud Dupree.
-Ola Adeniyi and Rashad Weaver are listed as 2s at OLB, with Derrek Tuszka behind them.
-Roger McCreary is listed as a starting cornerback, opposite Kristian Fulton.
-Caleb Farley is listed behind McCreary at one of the CB spots, while Elijah Molden is the back-up on the other side. Ugo Amadi and Tre Avery are listed as 3s on the depth chart at CB.
-Kyle Philips is listed as the starting punt returner, with Amani Hooker behind him.
-Dontrell Hilliard is listed as the starting kick returner, with Julius Chestnut behind him.
-Ryan Stonehouse is listed as the starting punter. This is a no-brainer, of course, since Stonehouse is the only punter on the roster. After all these years, it's still just weird not seeing Brett Kern's name on the depth chart.
-Stonehouse's name appears twice on the depth chart – he's kicker Randy Bullock's back-up.
