Biography

PRO: The Titans selected T'Vondre Sweat with the 38th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-4-inch, 366-pound nose tackle provides a massive body with long arms and big hands that refuses to be moved while adding explosiveness and a unique athletic ability. The Texas product was awarded the 2023 Outland Trophy, given to the nation's top interior lineman.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
• Sweat won the 2023 Outland Trophy, awarded to the best interior lineman in the country.
• Sweat became the fifth Texas defensive tackle to be a unanimous All-American.
• Sweat totaled 45 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks and four pass breakups his senior year. In addition, he recorded a two-yard touchdown reception and a block on an extra point attempt that the Texas defense returned for a touchdown.

• The Huntsville, Texas, native was selected by the Titans in the second round (38th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft.

COLLEGE:
• During a five-year career as a defensive lineman at Texas, Sweat appeared in 62 games with 17 starts. He finished his collegiate career with 128 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, 14 passes defensed, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and one extra point block. Was the winner of the 2023 Outland Trophy and became the fifth Texas defensive tackle to be a unanimous All-American. Named the 2023 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year.

AS A GRADUATE (2023), played in all 14 games with eight starts. Established career highs with 45 tackles, 18 solo tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks, four pass breakups and one blocked kick.
Also had a two-yard touchdown reception. Was the Outland Trophy Award Winner. Named a unanimous first-team All-American, the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and unanimous first-team All-Big 12.

• Against Oklahoma State (12/2), made two tackles in the Big 12 Championship Game victory. Also caught a two-yard touchdown pass in the win over the Cowboys, the fifth-ever Texas lineman to score an offensive touchdown.
• At Washington (1/1), made three tackles in the Sugar Bowl.

AS A SENIOR (2022), played in all 13 games with nine starts and established a then-career high with 30 tackles and added 2.5 tackles for loss, seven quarterback hurries and four pass breakups. Named honorable mention All-Big 12 by the league's coaches.
• At Texas Tech (9/24), had four tackles, one quarterback hurry and one pass breakup.
• Against West Virginia (10/1), made his first career start and posted one pass breakup.
• At Oklahoma (10/8), had four tackles and set career highs with three solo tackles and two tackles for loss in a shutout victory in the Red River Showdown.
• Against Oklahoma State (10/22), tallied two tackles, half a tackle for loss and two pass breakups.
• Against Texas Christian (12/12), registered four tackles and one quarterback hurry.
• At Washington (12/29), had one tackle, one quarterback hurry and one pass breakup in the Alamo Bowl.

AS A JUNIOR (2021), played in all 12 games and registered 22 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack and three pass breakups.

PERSONAL:
• Attended Huntsville (Texas) High School and was an all-state and multi-year all-district defensive lineman who was named District MVP in 2018. Ranked No. 54 in Texas and No. 40 at strongside defensive end by 247Sports.
• Named Associated Press 5A All-State and chosen MVP of District 10-5A II in 2018 after leading a defense that allowed just 13.1 point per game, including three shutouts and an eight-game stretch where the unit allowed no more than seven points in any game.
• Helped Huntsville to a 12-2 overall his senior year, including a 7-0 district title and an appearance in the 5A Division 2 quarterfinals.
• Registered 53 tackles and three sacks as a junior as he helped Huntsville to a 8-2 record and earned unanimous first-team All-District 20-5A.
• Also played basketball in high school.
