Julius Wood

PRO: The Titans acquired Julius Wood off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys before the start of the 2024 regular season to bolster the depth in the secondary and on special teams units. The 6-foot-1-inch, 193-pound defensive back entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Cowboys in 2024. The East Carolina product was a two-year starter for the Pirates and earned first-team All-AAC honors in his final collegiate campaign.

TITANS TIDBITS:
• Wood is familiar with his new professional surroundings having trained at X3 Performance and Physical Therapy in Nashville during the 2024 pre-draft process.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:
• The Columbus, Ohio, native was originally signed by the Dallas Cowboys as a rookie free agent on May 9, 2024.
• Waived by the Cowboys on Aug. 27, 2024.
• Claimed off waivers by the Titans on Aug. 28, 2024.

COLLEGE:
• Attended East Carolina for three seasons (2020-23), appearing in 37 career games with 24 starts. Compiled 189 tackles - leading the team in two straight seasons - with 5.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions, three forced fumbles and eight passes defensed.
• As a super senior (2023), named team co-captain and earned first-team All-AAC honors after starting all 12 games and leading the team with 86 tackles, a team-high two interceptions, three tackles for loss and a pass breakup.
• As a senior (2022), saw action in 13 games with 12 starts and recorded a team-high and career-best 87 tackles to go along with 1.5 tackles for loss,
two interceptions, four pass breakups and three forced fumbles.
• As a junior (2021), appeared in all 12 games, registering 16 tackles and three pass breakups.
• As a sophomore (2020), saw time in three games and recorded 19 tackles.
• As a freshman (2019), began his collegiate career at Blinn College, playing in nine games and recording 36 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and two fumble recoveries.
• Earned his degree in communication in December 2023 from East Carolina.

PERSONAL:
• Attended Walnut Ridge (Columbus, Ohio) High School and recorded 90 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks as a senior on defense. Added 19 catches for 275 yards and seven touchdowns on offense.
