NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee quarterback Vince Young strained his right hamstring Sunday during the second quarter against the St. Louis Rams and headed to the locker room.
His return was questionable after he pulled up at the end of a 44-yard run, grabbing at the back of his right leg. Young lay on his back on the sideline, holding the back of his leg for a couple minutes. Then he headed into the locker room and was replaced by Kerry Collins.
Young was hurt at the end of the longest run of his four-year career, and he pulled up at the end of his run down the left sideline. He put the Titans at the Rams 30 midway through the second quarter.
The quarterback had been questionable for this game with an achy right knee. But he had played very well, completing 6 of 8 for 132 yards with one touchdown for a 14-0 Tennessee lead.
