Take us through the touchdown. How did that come together?
Yeah, I just knew that it was going to go zero because the way that they lined up and Joe (Flacco) just made a great throw. He just fell back and threw it up. I had to go up there and get it for him.
Pitt, when did you know, you were going to play today? And I guess can you take us through the process of preparing to play?
Yeah. I mean, I feel like I really decided on that Thursday that I was going to try to make a push for it. And we're going to restart that whole cycle and just get to Sunday.
Shane's (Steichen) called you one of the toughest guys he's ever coached. Being able to be here, do this, what do you hope you can continue to bring to this offense in big moments like this?
Yeah, I wouldn't give myself that much credit. I'm just going to keep showing up and, whatever opportunities come, just try and make the most of them, and just go out there and try to help us win games.
When you get a game like that, I think you had, for a while, one catch for nine yards. Offense is not doing a lot. But then how do you stay ready for that moment when it is there for the touchdown and plays like that?
So, I actually took a page from Alec Pierce's book because Alec is a way more patient person than me. And I was telling him that I wish that I had that. But just being able to watch him, it really gives me a peace of mind knowing that, hey, it's going to happen. Like it's going to happen. Because, you see him, I mean, he'll wait until the last minutes of the fourth quarter, then he'll go for 150. So, I'm not quite like on that level, but I try.
Can you explain the emotion of making that catch? And I don't know, that's one of those, I don't know, backyard type of plays.
Yeah, so I just knew that I wanted to jump before he jumped. And honestly, I didn't want to be too high because it wasn't over yet. Obviously, I was excited. But I knew, hey, the game's not over yet. We still got time. So, you know, just keep it moving. And then I kept it level and then it led to another decent play.
Take us through the 16 yard catch you had right before the two-minute warning.
Oh yeah, that one, Joe (Flacco) just threw a perfect pass. I just gave some late hands. But that's really a credit to our line and to Joe because that was a great throw.
What does a win like this tell you about this team?
It tells me that we got fighters and we're working back. And now we're .500 and this game counts for two, so we're just moving in the right direction.
Walking out, walking through the tunnel, going back to the locker room we heard "I was good enough to make those two plays." So talk us through that. What was that about?
That's a private conversation. Sorry.
