You get this done in front of this home crowd is there something special about these Titans fans for about this team being able to get it done any time?
This is my first year here. But I always say, these fans are special. They're standing up throughout the game. You look up in the audience seeing like no one sitting down. So, they're cheering on third downs. The defense is out there and, they're there supporting us. A lot of admiration for these fans.
This offense seemed to be clicking early in the game more in the first half than the second half. What was kind of the difference in those first two frames?
Those guys get paid as well. I guess they caught on to some things we were doing that we couldn't execute like we wanted to. But we came out victorious. It's a good defense, good defensive players over there. But first half, obviously, we knew we could take advantage of some things that we did, and hopefully we can kind of come out and play a complete game next week.
What was something you saw in the wide receiver group specifically trying to take advantage of today?
The open space, a lot of zone. Guys being able to make contested catches, Nick (Westbrook-Ikhine) made some tough catches on the ground, Chris (Moore) as well. Tight ends made some catches. So, taking advantage of open holes they gave us.
You were two-for-two on red zone changes today, what was the difference in that area today?
Us just wanting to score. Getting that extra push. The offensive line knowing that Derrick (Henry) is getting the ball and blocking one second longer. I thank Derrick for doing what he did today.
A lot of veteran leaders stood up today and made some plays like yourself, Nico (Denico Autry) and Jeff (Jeffery Simmons). Arden (Key) on defense, Derrick (Henry) on offense. What does it say about this team to see the veteran leaders, you know, step up and help get a win for you guys.
A lot of guys play a lot of ball on this team. Different teams, but we're all here right now and we know when our number is called, we want to be accountable. Receivers out there blocking, we're not just out there catching touchdowns. We're out there making big blocks as well. To us, that's that leads to touchdowns and helps the team win. So, you've got a lot of unselfish veterans on this team and hopefully we can continue putting together wins.
Four and seven obviously you guys got a bit of a hill to climb. But you know, you take it one game at a time. Obviously, you got to get a home divisional game next week. What's going to be the mindset for you guys?
Same mindset that we've had every home game, let's win. Right now, we got a good win streak at home and hopefully we can continue.
