Being 5-0 is a great start, however, we need to remain humble or we will be humbled. We have to continue to work, stay focused and continue doing the things we've been doing to win football games.
The bye weekend was refreshing and I think everyone is back and ready to go. It's part of being a professional – taking care of your body, resting and coming back doing the things you have to do to prepare for a game. I don't think we're out of rhythm. I think we'll be able to pick up where we left off. Coach Fisher is going to continue to keep the guys prepared and tell them the necessary things they need to do to be prepared on Sunday.
Kansas City has a lot of weapons on offense and we know it's going to be a good test for us on Sunday. Looking at Larry Johnson on film, he's definitely back playing like he was early in his career, running hard and strong. He does a lot of good things with the football and it's going to be a good challenge for our run defense.
We definitely respect the Chiefs. Even though they are 1-4, they are a solid football team. The games they've lost, they've still been in those games and they play extremely hard. We don't want to go out there and take them lightly at all. They are a very well-coached team and we know Coach Herm Edwards will definitely have his guys prepared to play hard.
Being 5-0, the assumption is that we can just show up and they will lay down for us, but that's not the case at all. This is professional football. The Chiefs are preparing to win the football game. It's still early in the year and they still feel they have a legitimate chance to be a playoff contender.
Arrowhead Stadium is a loud place. The "Sea of Red" is what it's called there. It can be a very hostile environment. It will be a good test for our offense to go into another environment where crowd noise will definitely be a factor.
