NASHVILLE – One preseason game is in the books.
Next up is preseason game No.2 vs the Seattle Seahawks, on Saturday at Nissan Stadium, but not until the two teams hold a pair of joint practices during the week.
Even before that, this Tuesday's Titans mailbag.

Question: Hi Jim, I've loved watching Chance Campbell play since he was at Ole Miss and I was fired up to see him (in the preseason opener)! How has he been doing at camp and what are the chances he makes the final roster?
Jim: Hey Drew. Chance played great on Saturday, and he's had a good camp. I think he has a good chance to make it, but he just needs to keep his momentum going. His biggest issue to this point has been his health the last two years – he's had some bad luck. But I think Chance is next in line behind Kenneth Murray and Jack Gibbens, battling with rookie Cedric Gray and others. Here's the story I wrote about Chance from Monday: CLICK HERE.

Question: Hi, Jim. I started following the NFL in 1960. I have been an Eagle and Oiler/Titan fan ever since. I have 2 questions. There wasn't much of a difference in salaries in what Tony Pollard was given and what the Ravens paid Derrick Henry. Why haven't the Oilers/Titans franchise treated their stars with more love and respect. George Blanda, Warren Moon, Steve McNair, Ken Houston, Eddie George were all let go or traded for almost nothing. Wouldn't it be nice to honor OUR stars for the thrills they gave to us? Is Tony Pollard that much better than Henry is today? My 2nd questions deals with Milik Willis. From what I have seen of him, and heard of his dedication to work hard why would anyone give up on his athletic talent. Could he become a running back, or WR or h-back. We know he can run. Can he catch? He is too good of an ATHLETE TO GIVE UP ON. I recall 2 former #1 picks, Greg Sampson, DE and another DE by Phila. Tim Rossevich. Both changed positions. Sampson became a very good OT for a long while Rossevich became a very servicable MLB for a few seasons. To me that is coaching. Taking one's talent and making the most of it. Willis has potential; a halfback pass, a QB sneak, an option QB back. I hope this coaching staff can make use of his talent. Do you feel his talent is worth exploring or not enough time to give him that much attention. Thank you for your time.
Jim: Hi George. We're going to have to move past the Derrick Henry departure, but I'll answer this one just to give you my take on this. The Titans treated Derrick Henry with plenty of respect, and he did the same on the way out. Each case is different. In Derrick's case, it wasn't necessarily about the money. But I don't think he would've been happy coming back in a reduced role, at a reduced salary. The team has a new scheme and plan on offense, and it wasn't going to fit him. In Baltimore, he'll get a fresh start on a really good team. I wish him the best, and so does everyone else. I get the sense he's very happy, so you should try to let it go yourself. As for Malik Willis, he's a quarterback, and if he makes this team, it's going to be as a quarterback. That doesn't mean the team can't take advantage of his skill-set – I think you saw that with the designed run on Saturday night.

Question: Hi again Jim. Is it really football season again or am I experiencing the end of life deliriums???
You remember last year I said that Levis had "Marino like" attributes....except Marino didn't run more than 29 yards TOTAL in all 18 years of his career, bless his heart.
I still believe I'm spot on....so please tell Will he has a believer.
91 Osborn, I think, jumped off the screen to me during the game. I haven't heard a word about him during camp, but that young man was playing his heart out yesterday and he couldn't weigh an ounce under 370.....that young man WANTS to play!!
That's it from Buccaneers wasteland.....till next time! Keep up the good work you do for us fans.....you're a credit to the profession!
Jim: Good to hear from you again, Richard. Dan Marino comparisons already? Oh man. No.91 is Keondre Coburn – he had a sack on Saturday night. And, he's listed at a slim 332.

Question: Hey Jim! I attended the 49ers vs Titans game with my Father (Jets fan) Uncle (Panthers fan) and Father-in-law (Panthers fan) to get my first glimpse of our newly constructed team (coaches/players). As a Titans fan, this was a great experience and I have so much optimism after watching that game. I am African American and don't primarily listen to Country music a lot, but I love that our (Titans) atmosphere embodies that Country feel. When I travelled to Pittsburgh (unfortunately my wife's team), their "Renegade" set the stadium on fire. When at the Eagles Game, I got tired of hearing the "Fly Eagles Fly" (but it was cool that they have it). With that being said…I LOVED how we played "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" by Shaboozey every time the Titans scored!!! Can we PLEASE keep that as a staple for when the Titans Score (maybe even get Shaboozey to record a personalized "Titans" version)?!?!? I want other fans to get tired of hearing it because of us scoring so much. What do you think?
Jim: Hi Michael. Glad you had a big time! I heard from a few other folks who liked that as well. Maybe we can see if Shaboozey is up for it!
Johann Ooten from Columbus, Ohio
Question: I'm so tired of hearing about the Texans saying that they should have the Oilers jerseys. When we left Houston we took the team with us... ...it's not the same as when the Browns turned to the Ravens… the Texans franchise has nothing to do with the oilers except they are based in Houston..
Jim: Preach, Johann!

Question: Hey Jim, it felt really good to watch some Titan Football on a Saturday! I read your 6 take aways and I agree with all of them. I also took away, Malik is not the guy for Tennessee. I am not sure if it is the new offense or just jitters. He looked like his rookie year, Lots of panic and run. Mason is clearly the #2 and Levis taking that unnecessary hit had every Titan asking the same question.. WHY??!!!. I know he is young and wanting to be the leader of the team, showing he will do what it takes to win, but there are 17 games to get that point across. Looking forward to next week, Have a great Jim and as always TITAN UP!!!
Jim: Hey Jeremy. My opinion has been firm on this: Mason Rudolph is going to be the No.2 QB. I agree with your take that Levis has to be careful and avoid taking unnecessary hits, especially in the preseason.

Alberto Armando Tellez Salcedo from Durango, Mexico
Micah McKamey from Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Question: Hey Jim.. I just wanted to ask if the ones will be playing in game two against the Seahawks or not.
Jim: Hey Micah. The head coach said some starters won't play in the game after practicing with the Seahawks on Wednesday and Thursday. The ones that do play won't play a lot.
Have a great week everyone!
