NASHVILLE – The Titans have signed veteran safety Xavier Woods.
An eight-year veteran, Woods has played in 123 games in his NFL career, with the Cowboys (2017-2020), Vikings (2021) and Panthers (2022-2024). Woods started 111 of those contests.
Woods started all 17 games last season for Carolina, when he recorded a team-high 119 tackles with three interceptions and six passes defensed.
Woods played 100 percent of Carolina's snaps in 2024, 1,218 snaps in total.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Woods started 46 games for the Panthers over the past three seasons after starting 17 games for the Vikings in 2021, a year when he recorded 107 tackles.
In his carer, Jones has tallied 616 tackles, 13 interceptions, 47 passes defensed, 11 stops for loss, one sack, five forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.
Selected by the Cowboys in the sixth-round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Louisiana Tech, Woods has 13 interceptions in his career.
