NASHVILLE, Tenn. –** Titans safety Kevin Byard ended the regular season with a bang.
Now, he's being honored for it.
On Wednesday, Byard was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17.
Byard intercepted two passes in Tennessee's 15-10 win, including the clincher in the closing seconds. Byard also tallied eight tackles in the contest.
It's the second time this season Byard has won the award. He was also named AFC Defensive Player of the Week after recording three interceptions in the team's win over the Browns on October 22.
Byard intercepted an NFL-best eight passes during the regular season. Throw in his two fumble recoveries and he tallied 10 takeaways.
The Titans face the Chiefs on Saturday in the first round of the NFL playoffs.
