NASHVILLE – The Titans have officially agreed to terms with former Cowboys linebacker/special teams ace Luke Gifford.
Gifford, an inside linebacker, led the Cowboys in special teams tackles in 2022, when he played in 16 games and tallied 17 tackles.
He's played 368 special teams snaps over the past two seasons, but he played sparingly in the defense. He'll compete for additional playing time in Tennessee.
Gifford (6-3, 242) joined the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2019 after playing in college at Nebraska.
In his final season with the Cornhuskers, Gifford started all 12 games as a senior in 2018 while serving as a team captain. He set career-highs in tackles (62), sacks (5.5), tackles for loss (13), interceptions (two) and forced a fumble. His 5.5 sacks were the most by a Nebraska linebacker since 2005.
