NASHVILLE – The Titans will wrap up the 2024 season on Sunday against the Texans, and the team plans to use two quarterbacks in the contest.
Coach Brian Callahan on Monday said the plan is for both Will Levis and Mason Rudolph to play on Sunday, but he declined to name the team's starter.
"I'm actually going to probably play both of them, to be honest," Callahan said at today's press conference. "I'll let those guys both have a chance to play, some opportunities. I'll let you know by the end of the week, (who's) the starter and all of that. But I think both guys should play some football at the end of the year."
Rudolph replaced Levis as the starter for the team's December 22 game at Indianapolis. The Titans lost that game, and they lost again with Rudolph as the starter on Sunday in Jacksonville.
Callahan said if the Titans had won those two games, he'd probably be sticking with Rudolph to close out the season.
Rudolph is 139-of-219 for 1,460 yards with nine touchdowns and nine interceptions on the season, with a 79.3 rating. Levis is 181-of-284 for 1,916 yards with 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions this season, with a 79.8 rating.
"It would be different had we won two games in a row with Mason, but we haven't,' Callahan said. "We are where we are with our game performance and our record.
"So, we'll let Will get another shot at throwing the ball around a little bit and playing some football. He's been really professional in his approach, how it's all gone. I think he's earned a right to go play a little more football just because of the way he's handled the entire process. He'll get a chance to play a little bit more."
