Titans Need Big Play Early on in Miami

In order for the Titans to get their first win, it's going to take 53 players committing themselves to getting it done. That means spending extra time going over schemes, plays, and extra communication during the week leading up to the game. Each individual needs to take care of themselves during the week. If they aren't sure of something, they need to go check with their coach or the guys in the group. Then it's just a will, a belief. That's really what it comes down to.

It's going to very important for someone to make a big play early in the game on Sunday. At 0-2, the Dolphins are disappointed after carrying huge expectations into this season. They are desperate to get a win. They are going to be mad, so the Titans need to match the intensity early on and make something happen to silence the crowd at Dolphins Stadium.

Both teams are going to be throwing haymakers early to see what comes about. The Titans need to make a statement in the first quarter because if things go bad early in the game, especially the way things have been going as of late, it's easy for players to look around and say 'here we go again.' Then the tendency becomes looking around and waiting for somebody else to make a play.

It doesn't matter who is next on the schedule, it's important for this team to get its first win. It's important to get a win because too many teams are going forward and if you're still in that rut, it's awfully tough to dig yourself out. I know when we were 1-4 a few years ago, you kind of just throw everything out the window and go back to basics.

From the outside looking in, you go 0-3 and then you have Dallas, Indianapolis and Washington coming up next. So this is a game in which you can possibly catch Miami pressing a little bit. If you go in there and play sound football, you can maybe sneak out of there with a win. But, it's going to take every guy doing something extra and playing their very best on Sunday.
