HEAD COACH MIKE MUNCHAK
(on the offense in the first half)
We had three good drives there in the second quarter, and it was a nice two-minute drive at the end to get the field goal. We haven't had one of those, so that was good to see. The fumble early by Jake (Locker) trying to make a play kind of slowed the offense early, but after that, it was good. I think now we're getting a feel for it.
(on the defense in the first half)
Well, the defense kept us in the game early. We knew they were going to move the ball, but in the red zone, we did a great job forcing the first two field goals. Then obviously the last one, they missed the field goal, so we did a great job there. Then we started getting pressure up front. The coverage was doing well, and we got the sacks. I think the defense came together pretty well in the first half.
QB JAKE LOCKER
(on if he felt like things came together for the offense tonight)
We started off a little slow. We didn't get a whole lot of plays in the first quarter, but we really came back in the second quarter. I think we controlled the ball, controlled the line of scrimmage. We were able to do really well in the play-action game, moved the ball down the field and were able to put some points on the board.
(on how the offense responded after an early turnover)
Yeah, definitely—you have to put the ball away, and you can't have turnovers like that. It was nice to respond and find ways to put points on the board.
DT JURRELL CASEY
(on the defense's performance)
At the beginning of the game we started a little slow and let them drive down the field. We did get a good job of holding them to a field goal. That's one of our things, when they get to the red zone, we don't want to let them score a touchdown, and we were able to do that today.
(on the Titans getting pressure up front on Matt Ryan)
It went real well. That was one of our goals this whole season is to get to the quarterback and take pressure off of our DBs, and I felt up front we had a great game today being able to do that.
