NASHVILLE – The Titans have been awarded former Steelers outside linebacker Derrek Tuszka off waivers.
Tuszka was waived by the Steelers on Thursday, and he was claimed by the Titans on Friday.
The move comes on the same day the team placed outside linebacker Harold Landry III on Injured Reserve.
Tuszka, who played in college at North Dakota State and was a seventh-round pick of the Broncos in the 2020 NFL Draft, appeared in 15 games with the Steelers in 2021.
Tuszka tallied 18 tackles and 2.0 sacks in 2021, along with a forced fumble, while playing 247 defensive snaps in 15 games. He also logged 194 snaps on special teams.

At North Dakota State, Tuszka racked up 48 tackles, including 19 tackles for a loss, along with 13.5 sacks, one forced fumble and five passes defenses in his senior season in 2019. He was named an FCS first-team All-American as well as the Missouri Valley Football Conference's Defensive Player of the Year.
In his collegiate career, Tuszka compiled 133 tackles, 42 tackles for a loss, 29.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and six passes defensed.
