NASHVILLE, Tenn. --** The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with KR/RB Leon Washington on a one-year contract.
Washington joined the Titans in November last year and handled both punt return and kickoff return duties. He averaged 13.0-yards per punt return for the Titans and 30.1 yards on 16 kickoff returns. A two-time Pro Bowler (2008, 2012), Washington has eight career kickoffs returns for touchdown during his NFL career, which is tied for the most in NFL history. For his career, he has averaged 26.1 for kickoff returns and 10.0 for punt returns. As a running back, he has gained 2,214 career rushing yards and scored 16 rushing touchdowns along with 1,127 receiving yards.
"Leon came in last year and was the consummate professional," said Ruston Webster, Titans General Manager. "He stabilized our return game and we are excited to sign him back to our roster."
