NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Titans used their second pick of the 2010 NFL draft on Southern California receiver Damian Williams.
The 6-foot, 197-pound Williams may help fill the Titans' need for punt returner. He scored two touchdowns off punt returns in 2009, the first for the Trojans since Reggie Bush in 2004.
A transfer from Arkansas, Williams had a career-high 70 catches for 1,010 yards in 2009. He's known for running crisp pass routes and sticky hands. He says the Titans told him they need help in their special teams. They lost a game to the New York Jets last season off two fumbles on returns.
Titans coach Jeff Fisher says they had Williams rated very highly. Williams is the fifth receiver drafted.
