When you guys lose...It's one thing to lose, it stings. But these one-score games, does that make it harder? When you're right there?
It just proves that we're right there. Exactly. So, we're doing a lot of good things. Defense is doing a great job and offensively we're doing a good job as well. We just got to finish in those key moments.
Greg, when you see guys--offensive line, wide receivers--going down, just how much more difficult is it to make those adjustments in-game?
It's just tough to see those guys go down. Those are your best friends, those are your buddies, those are your teammates. So, you never like to see them go down. But you know, it's always next man up. Jalen (Virgil) scored a touchdown, first catch. That was awesome. Luke (Wattenberg) and Quinn (Meinerz), they did a great job coming in on the O-line. Everyone stepped up and everyone knew what they had to do. Everyone got their job done. It's just, as an offense, we all got to be better.
Are these opportunities something where down the road, later on, it's going to pay off and be better for you guys? Individually and collectively?
Yeah, everyone getting that game experience is going to be good for us. It's going to come down to all of us finishing. All 11 guys finishing it.
Is it harder because they're so close? Does that make you think, 'OK, we really are one play away from turning all these games?'
Yeah, you can look at it either way. That's what's great about this team is we always look at it as, 'Hey, we're right there, we just got to clean some stuff up, we got to finish.' And that's kind of the mentality going into next week.
