Obviously, it's always tough to lose any game. But the way everything went down, you guys lost bodies out there and back and forth. How tough is that a pill to swallow?
Yeah, I mean, it's honestly one of the most frustrating losses I've been a part of. It was just knowing that we fought the entire game, right, into overtime, had a chance to win. And then we came up just short at the end, definitely a heartbreaker.
What did Coach (Mike Vrabel) say afterward?
Said he just loved the way we fought. He's like, all we can do is get back to work. But the way we fight, we never laid down that entire game, fought to the very end. We just came up short.
Is that something to kind of build on going forward?
Oh, definitely. Even though we lost a game, that's just that mentality and the place that we played with that game, we definitely need to just keep that going. I feel like this game we played very well in both halves. Scoring the ball more than we have in the past. So, we can build upon that. Even though we lost, we can go back in the film and look at the good stuff that we did and just try to build up on those things.
Plenty of good things happened here from a lot of guys offensively. I mean, it seemed like the last game, the second half was kind of a problem offensively, this game that was not as much the case. You guys got going, especially in the fourth quarter. Again, how encouraging was that?
Yeah, it was really nice to see. We were struggling in the second half before, and just being able to show that we can score points throughout the entire entirety of the game is huge for us as an offense. Trying to open things up, I felt like a lot of stuff opened up today with the run game and a lot of stuff opened up to the passing game, too. Tyjae (Spears) was running really hard. Will (Levis) was making good decisions, so we will try to build on.
You feel like you guys were more physical in the line of scrimmage in this one?
Oh, definitely. That was definitely an emphasis for us. This game was definitely especially when we play the Colts, too. It's always that type of game.
