Cornerback Jason McCourty followed with one less snap than Pollard, and CB Alterraun Verner played 1,003 defensive snaps (94.2). Safety Michael Griffin had the fourth-highest number among Titans defenders, playing 898 snaps (84.3 percent) despite missing a game because of injury for the first time in his career and missing another because of a suspension doled out by the NFL for what the league said was a pattern of illegal hits.
Defensive tackle Jurrell Casey's strong season included 870 snaps (81.7 percent), and defensive end Derrick Morgan played 797 snaps (74.8 percent).
Tennessee's starting linebackers accounted for the next three highest snap counts: Zach Brown (756, 71 percent), Akeem Ayers (722, 67.8 percent) and Moise Fokou (719, 67.5 percent). Fokou played 100 percent of the defensive snaps in six games in 2013, but missed four games because of injury.
Defensive end Ropati Pitoitua rounded out the top 10 with 575 snaps (54 percent), showing the Titans heavily involved Pollard, Fokou and Pitoitua in their first seasons in Tennessee.
