Since you've been here, it's got to be frustrating to see everything kind of slipping away?
Yeah, it's definitely frustrating for sure.
What do you feel like it is? Other than bodies, what do you feel like you've been missing?
We haven't been playing well. That's the bottom line. We're making plays here and there. I guess it's just not consistent enough. Not playing four quarters of complementary football. Offense, defense, special teams, it's just not enough, all around.
Do you feel like these last five games, teams have beaten you, or do you feel like you've beaten yourselves?
I think it's a combination of both, honestly. A combination of both.
How hard is it when you're trying, I mean, you guys pulled it off last year, but when you're constantly having to shuffle guys in that haven't played next to you, or haven't played much at all, in and out of the lineup, and try to keep something cobbled together?
Yeah, I'm just not going to make any excuses for the guys that are out there, because we've been in positions where new guys came in and played well. Obviously, it's been a tough year when it comes to injuries. But you know, we're still in a position to win games. We're just not winning them. We're not finishing games the right way. And you know, in this league, no matter who you play, if you don't finish games the right way, you're going to lose.
Is it hard to fathom where you were a month ago, to where you are now?
For sure, it's frustrating. But obviously you know it's Christmas Eve, and we have Christmas tomorrow. And I'm definitely grateful and thankful we get to play this game, with the group that I'm playing with. And every opportunity I get to go out there and giving the glory to God and go out there and play football. But yeah, obviously frustrating. But you know, it is what it is, the situation we're in.
Is it possible to wipe all that away, and understand what you still have in front of you now, and two weeks from now, to play for?
Yeah. You can only take it week-by-week. But that's what we're going to have to do. There's really no other way, no other option. We're going to have to wipe this thing clean and focus on next week, this Thursday night game.
