How demoralizing is it, when you have so many big plays called back because of penalties? Some seem to be questionable from where we were sitting.
It's just part of the game. You have to find a way to play more disciplined football, whatever the case may be. We just have to find a way to come out with a win. It is demoralizing. Not so much like our energy, didn't take away from that mainly just extending drives. Now they just get more chances on goal, and that's not what we want. So, whatever we have to do throughout the week, to teeter to the cause, we just have to find a way to win.
A couple of times, you guys had (Sam) Darnold pretty well bottled-up, and he was able to escape and make some plays. How tough is that for a defense?
It's tough. I don't know what's in the game plan with these with these quarterbacks when they play us, feel like they turn into Lamar Jackson. But we've got to find a way to get them down. And then on the back end, we've got to find a way to play faster and come up and make tackles.
Going on the road next week for a divisional game. Is that kind of what the doctor ordered? Kind of a chance to let your frustrations out?
Yeah. Hopefully, guys are fired up. We got to go down to Houston and got to get a win no matter what. I mean, I know we're going to be prepared. We're going to go down there and fight and give them a good fight.
