How tough was this loss, in a game that was so different with so many different situations that happened today.
Yeah, I mean it hurts. We had done a good job the whole game. We were fighting, and then at the end of the game, they ended up making a play and unfortunately, we're on the short end of it.
You guys overcame so much in this game. Guys going down, and just crazy plays here and there. A couple blocked punts. How disappointing is it to not come out on top, with everything you guys went through in this game?
Very disappointing. All week, we knew it was going to be a street fight. We knew guys were going to be throwing punches back-and-forth. They threw more punches and connected more than we did. We've just got to do a better job on our special teams, protecting our punter, protecting guys with the ball, and just got to come out with a victory somehow.
Your pick for the 2-point conversion. Not a lot of players would be aware that you can actually return that for two points for your team. Just tell me about that play. What was going on?
I think he was rolling out to the right. He tried to throw it back to the tight end, who was kind of in the mesh of the o-lineman. It was tipped, popped up and when a ball hits my hands, I'm just going to run it regardless, whether if I know what's going on. I'm just going to try to bring it to the house every single time.
Obviously, it gets no easier, but you have games left to play. What's got to be the mindset for this team going forward?
Like you said, we got games to play. I mean, if you don't want to go out there and play, they're going to find someone to go out there and do it. So our job is to come out every single week, prepare for the team we're about to play to win the game. So regardless of what our record is, we go out there, and we're going to prepare to win.
First loss at home today. You talked about how great the crowds have been all day. They were loud and rowdy today. How tough is it to finally drop on at home?
Yeah, I mean it sucks. We always want to give our fans a show. We feel we were doing that. We just have to get the win next time.
