Reflecting on 2006; Looking Ahead to Prosperous 2007

It's been two weeks since we lost to the New England Patriots. I still ponder the possibilities of what could be had we won that game.  It was even more disappointing knowing that all the improbable "have to scenarios" actually took place.  We just weren't the same team in that last game, and I think it showed our youth.  When you play a team like the Patriots, one slip up can cause a huge momentum change for the worse, and that's exactly what happened.  They capitalized on a turnover and took it from there.

Now that our off-season is under way, it's time to reflect on how exciting the season was, and ponder the future of our team.  With a few key pieces on offense and defense, we can be an extremely good team next year.  Vince has gotten his first year under his belt and he will only be better next year.  I feel like our offensive line came along pretty good this year.  A bunch of young guys stepped up and had solid years...Jacob Bell and Dave Stewart only got better as the year went along, and it was fun playing next to them. 

As for my break, I will try to avoid the annual "train wreck" of invading on my wife's routine now that I have so much free time.  It's always hard to be so busy for 20 weeks then not have anything to do in the interim before off-season conditioning starts.  I did get to enjoy the bashing LSU put on Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl, as well as proving to the country that the SEC is a powerful conference as experienced by Ohio State against Florida!  Big Ten?  PLEASE!

I want to take this moment to thank all the Titans fans for such an incredible season!  WIthout you being at LP Field, things wouldn't be the same.  You hung in there with us during the 0-5 start and became a force against our opponents down the stretch.  My first year in Nashville has been memorable partly due to the great fans here in Tennessee.  Thank you.
