(Inaudible)
With turnovers, we really gave them like three or four drives. We gave them like ten points. Honestly, offensively, we've just got to not turn the ball over. I mean, we were doing well. We had drives, we outgained them. We outgain somebody and lose, it means you just didn't execute. We had time of possession until the end of the game. I mean, offensively we have to be better. We let the defense down. Defense played great today, and we played well enough except for the turnover category and executing at the end. We just have to be better.
A lot of times, people try to overcomplicate things. Isn't it just the turnovers when you boil it down?
Basically. I mean, we outgained them. We did everything we were supposed to do to win this game, but we didn't execute. Offensively, we really didn't play that bad. We probably had three to five plays that we wish we had back, and that's what the game comes down to. It comes down to three to five plays. There's a bunch of plays, probably 200 plays in a game, but those three to five plays are what make or break a game. Those three to five plays were not in our favor today, and that's kind of what happened today. We've got to get better.
Can you believe there wasn't a facemask on that play?
Yeah, that was egregious. There were a couple of things I didn't like, but I won't speak on that, that's for my coach to speak on. But yeah, my body went one way and my head went the other way. It's unfortunate, but you play the game, you play the game hard. And my coach was obviously mad and I was visibly frustrated probably. But yeah, that was egregious.
Then there was the pick-six.
Like I said, it's interesting, man. Some things like that, they just compound. I can't complain about the refs or anything, you've got to go play. But that was tough. Actually after that, I turned around and saw that, and I was like 'Oh, my Lord.' You can't blame anybody, but we've got to be better. Everybody.
