Congratulations. So now, preseason is over. Here comes the waiting, and everything else. What's going through your mind?
Go home, enjoy the win tonight and back at it tomorrow. Watch the film. Get the work in, we need this week. Get your mental right. It's a long season, and just prepare for Week One. That's where we're at now, and that's the next thing that's important. The most important. And that's where our focus is.
What have you noticed? It's preseason, of course, but even tonight, how are the Titans in your mind? You've played football all your life. How is this team getting ready for September 11th?
It just started back in training camp with our effort and finish. Being able to play four quarters. With the third preseason game, the roster is a little different. Guys are out there the whole game. To be able to come out with that win just proves the type of team we're building and what the culture is. When we're out there we're going to go hard and play to win. Nothing is taken for granted and you can tell this team is just built on working and getting where we want to be.
Do you feel like the Titans' defense was able to hold the Cardinals in check?
Yeah. Like I said with all things considered, with who is out there, the limited amount of bodies. Any time you get a win that means you held them in check, good enough. At the end of the game, to end the game – when they've got 50 seconds to drive down the field – with back-to-back sacks. That's what you practice every day and what you're waiting for and what you play for. So, I think we did a good job considering that type of offense. We're just going to get ready for New York.
