How tough was it once Green Bay got into a little bit of a rhythm there with their short passing game, and made some big plays down the field?
Extremely tough, obviously. They got into a rhythm early. We weren't where we needed to be, and so we need to be better.
Did they do anything you guys weren't expecting on film this week, or anything like that?
No, not really. I think early on, the Q-runs were definitely a factor. We had a scramble, and then he pulled it on a zone read. I feel like we were playing well inside the tackle box, keeping the runs limited. But early on, I feel like it was those two that kind of got us a little bit. And then we were just playing catch-up ball after that.
How tough is it when you have a quarterback seemingly dead to rights on third-and-long, and he evades a couple of tackles. and makes a first down?
It's extremely tough. And I think, we just have to be better. Me personally, I need to be better. Everyone on this defense needs to be better. Today was not our standard. So, whatever it takes, we need to figure out how to be better.
For the most part, you guys hung your hat on efficiency, the first couple of weeks. This game, you gave up six plays of over 20 yards, as a defense. I imagine you take it personally.
This is not our standard, and so, we need to figure this shit out. We can't be a defense where a couple of weeks we're good, and then we give up six explosive plays, that's just not us. We need to figure it out and go back to the drawing board.
Does this feel like an 0-3 team?
I mean, it sucks. The reality is the reality. We're 0-3 right now, so we've got to scratch, claw, bite, whatever we need to do to get a win, so we can get this thing rolling. That's the mentality right now.
