On battling through adversity including an illness this week
I've always been a fighter. My mom always told me that I don't come from kings and queens, but I come from warriors and survivors. So, I just think that's just how I've always been. So many people in the world going through so many worse things. So, I think when you just look at the totality of what's going on, it's like, 'Okay, you've got the flu. You're not dead. You know?' And while it did suck for sure, think just draw all my strength knowing there's other people going through a lot worse in this world. So, I think just perspective, I guess.
As a leader on this team, I imagine that's part of your message as you guys try to finish out the season, but how will you kind of prompt these guys to finish strong?
I think it goes without explaining. I don't expect anybody to tuck their tail or pack it up. End of the day, we've got three games left and this 2023 group that we have, it's going to be the last time that we get to play together for these last three games. And we got to take full advantage of it, take it one day at a time, show back up to work, try to finish the season strong.
