**
On the mood of the Titans… **
Panic has definitely not set in. We're still a confident team and in every case we realize that one or two plays in each ball game made a difference. I would say that while we understand we haven't gotten off to the start we wanted to, we're still a confident team.
**
On the difference between this season and last season… **
It's not one particular thing. I think if you look at the two ball games, each phase contributed to the amount of mistakes that led us to lose ball games. That's the reality of the situation. We're dealing with it. We put the game behind us last week and we're moving on.
**
On what he's seen in the Jets defense… **
Obviously, they're playing really, really well. They seem like they know how to play the new defense. The guys that they had last year, which was a lot of good personnel, have really taken well to the new defense coming in and (then) you combine the two. You combine good personnel with a tough defense to prepare for. They're playing really well.
**
On if he was surprised by what the Jets defense did against New England… **
No, not really. They've got the personnel to play as well as any defense, and I think they are playing as well as any defense in the NFL right now. You've got to give them credit.
**
On Tennessee WR Kenny Britt… **
I've been really encouraged by what I've seen in Kenny. Being a young guy, he just turned 21 the other day, and to handle the things that we've asked him as well as he has, has been very encouraging. He's still a young guy, but he's full of power. He's got a willingness to learn, which I think gives him a chance to be a very good player.
**
On Britt's strengths… **
I think his feel for the game is very good. I think his physical attributes. He's a bigger guy who can run. I think his route running is pretty good all the time. He's been able to handle the assignments (and) what you're asking him to do in the passing game and the blocking game. The biggest thing for me is that he's getting better. He's learning. He wants to learn and he listens to the coaches and what they're trying to teach him. I think he's getting better because of it.
**
On being intimidated by the pressure that the Jets defense puts on quarterbacks… **
We certainly know they like to blitz and they like to rush the passer. It's no different than (when) we played Baltimore last year. It's the same style of defense. They're attacking. They bring a lot of exotic things and you just have to be ready for it. We're going to try and put together a good game plan this week and get ready for them. Hopefully we can play better than we have the last couple of weeks.
**
On if it helps that they played Baltimore twice last season… **
Having had to prepare for them twice last year, I think we've got an understanding of their defense and what they do. But understanding it, blocking it and doing well against it are two different things. That's a big challenge that we have this week.
**
On if Chris Johnson can make big plays on the Jets defense… **
It's hard to say. We've seen no big plays against them. So, to say that you're going to have a big play or have big plays, that just comes down to execution. If we execute right and the situation presents itself, hopefully there will be something we can do. Certainly, Chris had a great game last week and he'll prepare hard this week and get ready to go. Hopefully he'll have another good game.
**
On what he did to be successful against Baltimore last season… **
We ran the ball fairly well in the second game, I think. We caught them in a couple of the right coverages and made a couple of plays in the passing game. In the playoff game, they really stiffened up when we got down in the red zone. They'll be some things that I'm sure they'll be ready for that worked against them last year. So, to think that we're going to do the same things we did last year and be successful, I think we're probably kidding ourselves.
**
On Darrelle Revis… **
He's definitely in the top echelon as far as corners go. I felt that way last year when we played him and certainly watched him on film. He's a very good corner. I'm not sure there is one better out there right now. Once again, (this is a) challenge for our guys outside to go against them and try to create separation.
**
On if he has any hesitation throwing to Revis' side… **
If my read goes that way, it goes that way. You've got to be careful with the way he can break on the ball. He's got great closing speed. He can break-up passes. (He) made a great play on the ball last week to get the interception. You always have to know that when you're throwing his way, accuracy is the key.
**
On if the team is keeping their 0-2 record in perspective… **
I think we've got a good perspective on it. I can sense that Jeff is pulling us together and we're still together. By no means is this team cracking or falling apart by any stretch of the imagination. We've got guys who understand why we lost the last two games and as long as we keep the approach that we continue to get better, that gives us the best chance to have a successful season. Like I said, we were real close in the last two games (and) it didn't go our way. We need to learn from the things we didn't do well, try and grow and get better at the things we've been doing.
