Running Back Chris Johnson will replace Jacksonville's Maurice Jones-Drew on the AFC Pro Bowl squad, the NFL announced today.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. –** Titans running back Chris Johnson has been named to the AFC squad for the 2011 NFL Pro Bowl, replacing Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew, who is unable to participate due to injury.

The Pro Bowl will be played Jan. 30, 2011 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Johnson, the team's 2008 first-round draft pick, has been named to the Pro Bowl for the third consecutive season. He is the first Titans/Oilers player since Jevon Kearse (1999-2001) to be named to the annual All-Star Game in his first three NFL campaigns.

Johnson followed up his historic 2,006-yard rushing season in 2009 by
finishing fourth in the NFL with 1,364 rushing yards this year. The former East Carolina product also ranked sixth in the AFC with 12 total touchdowns and led the Titans with 44 receptions.

Johnson has rushed for 100 or more yards in 24 career games, including a league-tying high of eight times in 2010. The third-year pro was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week after carrying the ball 19 times for 131 yards with two touchdowns at Dallas (10/10/10).

With his 76-yard touchdown run against Oakland (9/12/10) in the season opener, Johnson's four career touchdown runs of 75 or more yards ties him for second all-time with Barry Sanders and Tony Dorsett, trailing only O.J. Simpson's five.

Johnson joins defensive end Jason Babin and return specialist Marc Mariani, who were named to the Pro Bowl last month.
