If Vince Can Play in Houston, He Will

I know all of the Titans fans in the world are bummed that Vince Young is hurt, but I have two things for you; Vince Young is day-to-day, which means it's nothing too serious and if he's healthy Sunday in Houston, he will play. Anytime you get injured, you want to make sure that it if you do play again, you don't have a chance of re-injuring it or injuring it further. That's something that Vince, Coach Fisher and the medical staff will have to deal with. As his teammate, all I can do is encourage him. On offense, whatever the situation may be, we have to be prepared. We have to go out there and practice hard, regardless of who the quarterback is. If Vince is cleared and is able to play, then we are better off for it.

Whoever is in there at quarterback, our offense does not change dramatically. Obviously, we are not going to run the option if Kerry Collins is in there, but we are still going to run the ball and try to get the ball down the field when we have the opportunity to. Kerry has been in every situation there is in football and is very professional about the game. Whoever is in there at quarterback, we believe in him and we are going to be behind him.

It's no secret that Vince means a lot to the state of Texas, winning the National Championship there and growing up in Houston. He will always be loved and revered by those fans. It'll be hard for him to top what he did last year in Houston, but I'm hoping he'll be able to make a comeback and do something similar down there this year.
