Next up, we have the Carolina Panthers. I understand they are tops in their division right now, and that speaks for itself. I think they are playing really well. I think their front seven on defense is playing pretty good, and they probably have the best front four collectively that we've seen up to this point. They have a lot of young linebackers that can make plays. But our goal is always going to be to take care of ourselves and run the ball and take advantage of the opportunities when they arise.
A lot of people have been talking about how we have been winning close and ugly games. It would be great if we score 40 or 50 points like some other teams in the league, but as long as we win, that is the most important thing. The only things that matter are W's. If it's three points and we get a win, it's still a win. At the end of the day, that is what matters the most.
So this time of year is a big push. We want to go into the second half of the season, late November and December, with an opportunity to get into the playoffs, if we're not already in the playoffs, and just play for home-field advantage and things like that. I think as the season goes along, those are the kind of things we need to think about.
People look at this division as the Colts' to lose, and rightfully so. They won the Super Bowl, and they're undefeated right now. But don't count the Titans out. We may not win pretty, but what ultimately matters is that we've got as many W's if not more than they do. That is our goal. We play them in the final game of the season in Week 17, and it would be great to be playing for the division title in that last game at Indianapolis.
