WR MARC MARIANI
(on his friendship with Brandon Fisher)
**
He was the one that made the call. He was in the room with Coach Fisher right now. He actually made the call and he was messing with me a little bit. I have been talking with him throughout this whole period and he made the call. First he was messing around with me. It was a real call this time. It was just overwhelming.
(on the prank call)
**
I had been talking with him on my cell phone throughout the day and I got the number from the Titans on my call and then they said that someone wanted to talk to me. I thought alright this is it, I'm excited. He was on the other line and he said I'm just messing with you. I just had to call you from this number to mess around. At that point I was ready to fly down there and whoop his buns. Then he told me it was the real deal and he put me on with Coach. At that point I kind of lost it a little bit. It was awesome. That is not something a lot of people get to do. To hear his voice was pretty cool.
(on whether he thought he was going to get drafted)
**
I went in not with any real expectations because I know how crazy this process is. I thought that we had gotten enough interest and enough phone calls that maybe someone would give me an opportunity. I'm always optimistic, so I was always listening pretty close. I thought maybe my name would be called. For the most part I didn't get too excited and just kind of waited it out. I don't think it could have turned out better.
(on if he knows Coach Fisher)
**
I knew him a little bit. After the games you meet the parents and that kind of thing. He has got to watch a lot of our games, so that was always nice. I actually took a visit to Tennessee and then I got to sit down and talk to him a lot more. He has been helping me throughout this whole process through Brandon. He has been a good resource. He is one of the best there is.
(on if you ever thought there was opportunity to show off for the Titans brass)
**
It was never a reality, it was always a dream. It was always a dream that something could develop. He is up there sitting in the stands and you are out there trying to do your best. It was always a dream but I didn't think it was going to come true. I'm living the dream right now.
(on what he has to do to take it to the next level)
**
I know that it doesn't end here. This is just the beginning. I know that I have my work cut out for me. I know it is going to be cutthroat. It is going to be just intense camp. I don't expect him to play any favors. Throughout this whole process you really learn that this is an intense business. I have to earn everything and every inch and every rep. That is what I'm looking forward to doing.
(on punt and kickoff return)
**
From my point of view I will do whatever it takes. I would definitely feel comfortable as a returner, punt or kick. If they ask me to do that, I will be first in line. I think when you are trying to make a team, anywhere you go, whatever you can put on your resume as far as getting on the field it will help you. That will be a resource for me. Like I said I'm going to do whatever they ask and I'm just going to work my butt of every day and give it everything I got.
(on whether he visited any other teams)
**
I visited the Colts, the Texans and the Falcons as well.
