NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota is 32 starts into his NFL career.
His 32-game total of 7,342 passing yards ranks first in franchise history when compared to other drafted QB's first 32 starts with the team. George Blanda threw for 7,529 yards in his first 32 starts with the club in the early 1960s, but he wasn't drafted by the franchise.
But how does Mariota's start compare to previous first-round picks by the organization at the quarterback position? Here's a look at Mariota's first 32 games as a starter compared to the first 32 starts for former Titans quarterbacks Steve McNair and Vince Young. Note: Jake Locker started just 23 games for the franchise from 2011-14.
Keep in mind McNair took over as a full-time starter in his third NFL season after starting six games in his first two seasons. Young played in the first two games in his rookie season before taking over as the starter in Week 3 of the 2006 season. Mariota started week one of his rookie season in 2015.
These numbers do not include games in which they didn't start.
