TITANS HEAD COACH KEN WHISENHUNT PRESS CONFERENCE
(on if Zach Mettenberger will play this Sunday)
We'll see. Zach (Mettenberger's) practicing. We're going to see how he responds to it. We've still got a couple of days. I would doubt that he would play, but he may be available. You never know how a game would go, so we'll make that decision later in the week.
(on if he thinks Delanie Walker and Jurrell Casey deserve to play in the Pro Bowl)*
Sure, I do. That's the way it goes sometimes. I feel badly for them, because they certainly have played at that level in my opinion. We win some more games around here, I'm sure they'll get that recognition because I hear from a lot of my peers all the time about both of those guys.
(on if it is important to have Pro Bowl players on his team)
To me what's important is winning games. All of that comes with it. You'd like to have Pro Bowlers on your team because you'd like to see your players get recognition for performing well, but that's not something that you can control.
(on his plans for Christmas)
It's the first we chance we've gotten. We'll probably open some presents, make sure I don't have a lump of coal, have a morning at home, and then come in and do a little work in the afternoon. It'll be a good Christmas. Unusual, usually working. Usually in here working, have a regular practice day. It's a nice changeup. Just lucky that we had the extra day this week because of the Thursday game last week. Our guys are excited about that.
(on the impact it would have on next season to end this season with a win)
It's always good to end with a win. I don't think it really has any bearing on what happens next year just because every year is different, but with the way our season's gone, it would certainly be something good for all of us to get a win. The way they practiced today, they're focused on trying to do that, and hopefully we'll play well Sunday.
