TITANS HEAD COACH KEN WHISENHUNT PRESS CONFERENCE TRANSCRIPT - September 11, 2015

(on if the team is ready for Sunday's season opener)

It's a good question; I could give you the answer. I'm excited about it. We've got a lot of young guys, this will be the first regular season game and I like the way this team works. I'm excited to see what we do. I'm always excited to kick the season off.

(on the challenges the team will face if Tampa Bay's Mike Evans plays on Sunday, as he is one of their two large wide receivers)

That's what we planned for all week, we expect him to play. They're big receivers and you'll face other big receivers in the league. It's not like they haven't faced Justin (Hunter) and DGB (Dorial Green-Beckham) in practice.**

(on how tough Tampa Bay's two large wide receivers will be in comparison to other teams' receivers)

I think Carolina's got some big receivers. There are lot of teams that have big receivers. So you're going to face that at some point. I mean, definitely they are good players. That to me is what's more important, they're good football players. **

(on what Quinton Spain did that was impressive enough to earn a spot on the 53-man roster)

He had a good camp and played well in the preseason games.

(on if he has a preview of the injury report for Sunday)

The injury report is coming out a little bit later this afternoon. I think this is easier if we just do it this way, it just makes it a little easier.

(on if he would give previews of the injury list before it came out last year)

I'm trying to remember a lot of things that we did last year and not do them this year.

(on if he is ruling anyone out completely)

Sammie (Hill). But that's it. That's all I'll go into. **

(on how hard it will be to go without Perrish Cox if he is unable to play)

Well I mean we had all camp without Blidi (Wreh-Wilson) and Blidi's back. At least we were prepared for that, but I expect him to go.

(on issues with headsets during games)

There are all kinds of things that have happened during the years. It's hard for me to say anything after we had issues on our own headsets in our stadium, so it happens. You've got to have a plan for how you're going to deal with that. Hopefully it won't be Marcus (Mariota) running to the sideline like it was last time, but we'll see. At least we're prepared for that if that happens.
