TITANS HEAD COACH KEN WHISENHUNT**
(on Zach Mettenberger's personality and how the team responds to him)
I guess we'll see. I don't know. I've never noticed anything different with Zach (Mettenberger) in there. Guys like him. We're hoping that gives us a spark and we play good football.
(on if Jake Locker is healthy enough to be the backup quarterback)
He's listed as full practice probable on the injury report.
(on the possibility of facing Texans LB Jadeveon Clowney)
We prepare for what we think they're going to do. That always changes on game day, too, it seems. It's no different. If he plays, he plays. I expect him to play. We're prepared for what we believe how they're going to play us. If they change something, you adapt during the game. That's the way it is every week.
(on what he sees from Texans LB Jadeveon Clowney on tape)
You watch tape, but I'm not going to make an assessment of how he plays. He's a good football player.
(on the injury report)
I've got a couple of doubtfuls, which are Taylor Thompson and Coty (Sensabaugh), but everybody else has a chance. Even those guys, depending on how they go.
(on Ropati Pitoitua's ability to block passes this season)
I saw that on tape when we played him last year, so I don't know that it's any different from that. He's a tall guy. He's been disruptive, and I don't necessarily think that he's doing anything different.
(on the importance of establishing a run game this week)
You like to do that every week. Sometimes it depends on how they play you. This league, sometimes they make it difficult. If they do that, then you've got to be able to throw the football. We have a plan that, like I said, we feel good about. If we have to adapt, we'll adapt. That's what this game is about. Hopefully we'll do a good job of that.
