TITANS HEAD COACH KEN WHISENHUNT**
(on Jake Locker's status)
We'll see Sunday. He's making progress. I admire the way he's working. He's working at it hard. He's getting better, that's what you want to see.
(on Jake Locker practicing this week)
He's done a lot the last two days. He's progressed.
(on the depth at tight end and the potential to add a player at the position)
That would be something like we did last week. That would be something that would be a consideration.
(on Brett Brackett filling in at tight end)
He did (practice) last week, as well. You always work guys to have them play.
(on the factors of whether Jake Locker plays on Sunday)
I guess to be fair, it's a lot of things that you can consider. We're going through that process right now. There's certain criteria that we've got to make sure he's OK with.
(on Jake Locker's soreness from his injury)
That's gotten better as the week has progressed. He still has a little bit of soreness, and that's part of it. It's getting better.
(on if Jake Locker will play Sunday)
When we get to Sunday we'll see. I'm not going to speculate on what could or couldn't be.
(on what the trainers have said about Jake Locker's status)
Like I said, when we get to Sunday, we still have tomorrow. We can check on him Sunday and then we'll make that decision on what we think is best for the team and where we think he is.
(on Zach Mettenberger being more involved)
Zach (Mettenberger's) been involved pretty much the whole season. We've gotten him reps with the scout team. It doesn't matter which quarterback you are. If you're not the guy getting the majority of the reps, you're not going to get a lot of reps with the offense, just because you don't have as many reps. He's gotten a few here and there, so hopefully that's helped.
(on if he has seen teams treat Charlie Whitehurst differently since he has been playing more at quarterback)
I really haven't. I've seen the last week, which was really the first week since any week, and we didn't know last week for sure whether it was going to be him. I haven't seen that.
