TITANS INTERIM HEAD COACH MIKE MULARKEY PRESS CONFERENCE TRANSCRIPT - November 26, 2015
(on the attitude at practice on Thanksgiving Day)
It was pretty darn good, I have to admit, that's what I just told them. It's an easy day to be distracted with lots going on, family, friends in town, where they're going to eat, what they're going to eat, but I thought we accomplished what we set out to do. We have fast Fridays, today was Thanksgiving Thursday. So it was up with the tempo, timing, tough-minded, all of those things that we wanted.
(on the players' weigh-ins today)*
A couple of guys we will have to address, but for the most part, it's going to be a lot better than it is tomorrow morning. As many times as you say be smart, it's going to be hard when all that food's sitting out in front of you.
(on Chance Warmack being excited about mac-and-cheese)
I didn't hear that and I wish I wouldn't have heard that (laughter).
(on Kendall Wright's recovery process after practicing again today)
I think he's good to go, I really do. He had more reps today and I saw him do some things that I feel good about.
(on if he has decided on a starting five for the offensive line)*
I'll let you know that tomorrow, but I think Quinton (Spain) has looked good. I'm pretty pleased. I'm heading in that direction, but I'll finalize that tomorrow after I watch the practice tape today.
(on if Joe Looney or Andy Gallik will start on Sunday)
Probably Andy (Gallik).
(on if he motivated the offensive linemen to work hard to earn starting spots)
That was a little bit of the message. I would hope they would have taken it that way when you start rearranging, especially your offensive line, that's not a position you want to, week in and week out, be making changes to. But we're trying to do something, and hopefully it's a permanent move. We're trying to get the best five we can get in there. How do you know until you get them into a game? So we'll find out after this one if Quinton (Spain) is the guy at left guard for us. But they know we are trying to do our best to find the right guy at every position, let alone the offensive line.
