TITANS HEAD COACH MIKE MULARKEY PRESS CONFERENCE TRANSCRIPT - November 3, 2017**
(on the team's injuries)
(Quinton) Spain did not practice, he will be listed as out. Delanie (Walker) was limited, he'll be questionable. Nate Palmer was out and he'll be listed as questionable, he'll probably be a game-day decision.
(on if wide receiver Corey Davis and safety Johnathan Cyprien are good to go)
Yes, they're good to go.
(on what he saw from tight end Delanie Walker in practice today)
He can do some things. Being on the turf, just wanted to be smart too. We always limit them when we go on the turf.
(on if he saw what he needed to from Corey Davis)
I think so. Is he ready to play 60 snaps? I can't say that he is that, but he'll get enough to get a good measure of where he's at right now.
(on what he's seen from tight end Jonnu Smith leading up to this game)
Good. He's taking a lot of reps, I think it's been great for him. It's really been good for all of our tight ends, you get a chance to get more reps and play a different role. Jonnu (Smith) has done good. I mean, we haven't changed anything, it's Jonnu (Smith) or Delanie (Walker).
(on if Delanie Walker being out would be taxing on the offensive line with guard/tackle Dennis Kelly being the third tight end)
Not really. Dennis (Kelly) has been that way all year, it doesn't tax us anymore. (Brian) Schwenke is going to step right in. There's really no change that's going to take place other than, obviously, some of our three-tight-end sets may have to use Dennis (Kelly) a little more if we have to.
(on if anything changes up front with having guard/center Brian Schwenke in for guard Quinton Spain)
No.
(on being nominated for the Salute to Service Award)
It was an honor. It was Wednesday morning, just caught me off guard, team meeting, got a lot on my mind. They set me up pretty good to present that. Some representatives from Fort Campbell came down and showed me the letter that they used for the recommendation for it. It's a great honor to be a part of it. Just our relationship that we have just continues to get stronger and stronger, and that helps.
(on the importance of the relationship with Fort Campbell)
I think it's important that our guys understand that there's more to life, there's guys out there sacrificing their lives out there every day. I want them to have a chance to see it up close and personal and build a relationship, which we have by going up to Fort Campbell and them coming down. These guys put their lives on the line every day and all we worry about are wins and losses and touchdowns and the red zone. It's not always about that, it's real life. The relationship has been great and I want to continue to build it.
(on if this nomination has more significance than others due to his connection to the military)
Yeah, I'm honored. I think we're blessed that we have a chance to have the relationship that we do have with them already. This was not expected at all. It's nice, nice to be recognized, but that's not what it's about, it's about the relationship of our team and the military.
(on if tackle Jack Conklin and wide receiver Taywan Taylor returned to practice)
Yes.
(on Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson's injury)
I really don't want to see anybody get hurt, you just don't want to see anybody. I don't comment on other teams' players other than that it's tough to see a good player get hurt.
