TITANS HEAD COACH MIKE MULARKEY MEDIA AVAILABILITY - Sept. 9, 2016
(on the addition of Josh Kline)
Yeah, it adds depth to our offensive line, which I think never can hurt. It's a hard thing to have at the NFL level. Rarely do teams have guys that have started playoff games on your roster. We have a guy. Obviously, we have to get him up to speed with our system, but I have no doubt he can pick it up quickly.
(on if Josh Kline can challenge for a starting spot)*
I've got to see him up close and personal and watch it all live here. Right now, I'm pretty set with our O-line. I mean just the way we ended the preseason, I was pretty confident in what they're doing.
(on if Josh Kline is the kind of tough player he is looking for)
Yeah, and Jon (Robinson) has a history with him. He is exactly what we stand for. I think that's why it was good to get him. It's not like somebody who has to learn our culture. He already kind of is built that way.
(on if he thinks the team is ready to play)
Yeah, I think we are ready to go. We had a really good week. Today was—you know, we call it 'Fast, Focused Friday'. I thought we had that today. It's been a long time getting ready to get a regular season game in. I think everybody's excited to get to the real thing.
(on if he looks at the Vikings as the prototype for the smashmouth team he wants to build)
Well, I think we're trying to create our own identity, to be honest with you. They are similar. They do run the ball, obviously. They had the leading rusher in the league last year. There are similarities. You know, I don't know how it's preached there like it is preached here. It will be an interesting matchup. I mean I think it's going to be, compared to other games around the league, this is going to be an interesting one when you've got the quality of backs that both teams have.
(on who is on the injury report)
Kendall (Wright). Kendall is the only one. He's out for the game.
