HEAD COACH JEFF FISHER**

(on free agent wide receiver Drew Bennett's visit on Monday)

**

We just had Drew in for a physical. We do that periodically. Players that are out there, that are available, that are free agents, you just want to bring them in and get them checked out in case there's some interest down the line.

(on what Bennett has to offer)

**

Drew is healthy now. He had difficult injury situations there – a couple of them that he had to deal with in St. Louis – and he's healthy now. He's just looking for an opportunity to come in and finish his career.

(on if Bennett's value would be greater in the locker room than on the field)

**

Again, we brought him in for a physical. We have not made a commitment to him, nor has he made a commitment to us. We just brought him in to see what kind of health he's in, what his status was. But in the event something like that were to happen, we would never bring anybody in just for the locker room. We're going to bring in somebody that can score touchdowns for us, and I think Drew still has some touchdowns left.

(on Bennett's experience and locker room credentials)

**

Certainly, if you had to choose between two players that you're bringing in and one that you know, certainly there's advantages to that. But again, we're in the preliminary stages, and there's been no commitments.

(on if Bennett passed his physical)

**

I'm not going to report on those things. They're confidential. I was pleased with the results, I'll just say that.

(on Tuesday's practice)

**

Well this was different today. We didn't do any team work. Today was a passing day for us. The linemen stayed down and did individual drills the whole time. We felt like we needed to get on the field and just throw the football. We worked a lot of different situations, and I thought it was advantageous for the young receivers and the quarterbacks.

(on quarterback Kerry Collins potentially getting better with age)

**

He's in great shape. His conditioning level is really where it was last year, if not better. You know, it's just another year of experience in the offense and getting to know his teammates. And another year experience reading defenses certainly doesn't hurt.

(on how quickly Collins and Nate Washington can find chemistry)

**

He'll get a sense of timing for his speed, when to let the go route go and those kinds of things, how quick he is out of the break. That was the nature of today's work, to give them a chance in a competitive situation to work on the timing. We have a lot of new things going in, and we needed to see him without a bunch of big guys running around in front.

(on what the Titans originally saw in running back Rafael Little)

**

It was his production at the University of Kentucky. He was a very productive back. He plays well without the ball, he's got good hands, he's a good, instinctive runner, and he's a returner. We had a significantly high grade on him prior to his injury coming out. Our area scouts liked him, and so we thought it would be a good opportunity to get somebody like that and rehab him. He's doing well here.

(on returner/wide receiver Mark Jones)

**

He's a returner. He's clearly a returner, but he can also play receiver. He's got great return skills and hand-eye coordination and feel of football.

(on potentially having three quarterbacks on the roster)

**

We were comfortable with that last year, and I think the way the roster is, it doesn't look like we're going to be pressed at any other positions. So I think for all intents and purposes, right now, as we stand here, I think there's a good chance, yes.

(on the outside perception of losing Albert Haynesworth and how different the defense will be this season)

**

Our defense is different in a lot of ways every year based on the personnel that we have, but the philosophy is not going to change. We're still going to rotate our defensive linemen, we're still going to put pressure on the passer, and we're still going to emphasize stopping the run first and foremost. You know, we won a lot of games without Albert during his injury situations, and we've got guys to plug in and play. It's really not a concern. We're looking forward to getting Sen'Derrick Marks in the swing of things and getting him caught up so that he can become a part of that rotation.

(on when the rookies will arrive)

**

The first day they're permitted to come in is the 16th, and I believe that's Saturday. We're going to ask them to arrive Sunday evening. They'll be in the offseason program next Monday, and then Tuesday they'll be on the field. You'll see them on the field with the vets.

(on how the practice dynamics change when the rookies arrive)

**

They'll have a day of interaction with them before we really come out and do anything organized. It really doesn't change. We're going to continue with the same rotation, and then, if you recall, we'll have rookie periods because we're permitted to keep the rookies longer than the limitations that we have on the (veterans) OTAs. So we'll have rookie periods after to bring them along. I think the first week you won't see them doing a lot of things, but next time around, in June, they'll fall right into the swing of things, and I think they'll be fine. This group looks like it's a group that can learn. They showed just in a couple days that it's a smart group, so I think they'll fill in real nice.

(on where the team left things with Drew Bennett)

**

There's no commitment. We extended an offer and an invitation to come in and take a physical, really no different than we do with other players.
