HEAD COACH JEFF FISHER, DEC. 18, 2008**
(On if Jacob Ford is starting to come into his own over the past month)
Yeah, he's been real productive. Basically, you have a tendency to evaluate defensive ends based on their sack numbers and their pressures but Jacob's doing a real good job against the run. He's been real active against the run and been in the right place and he's playing well for us.
(On if Kyle Vanden Bosch's surgical procedure went as expected)
Yeah, he was very excited about it. We got good news from the surgeon and he's going to take his time here over the next few days and then we'll start aggressively rehabbing.
(On if there's a benefit to the team having something to play for in the final weeks leading up to the playoffs)
You know, we looked at it all year as like we've been pushed every week. There's no time to take a deep breath. We're looking forward to this opportunity. Pittsburgh is playing very, very well and both of us have the exact same thing at stake.
(On differences between the Steelers under Mike Tomlin compared to when they were coached by Bill Cowher)
Well, there's some minor differences offensively only because Coach [Ken] Wisenhunt and Russ [Grimm] have left. Offensively there's some minor changes, defensively they're the same thing. But as a whole, they're still the Steelers. They're very talented, very aggressive, very physical and play with a great deal of confidence.
