Coach Fisher's Saturday Training Camp Report

HEAD COACH JEFF FISHER**

(on the wet weather conditions)

Yeah, it was good. Actually, watching the radar map I'm glad we got it in because it looked like we would have to go inside, we were prepared to go inside. It worked out good. It's a good lesson for them. That's what camps about, learning to work through the potential distractions, the heat, the wind and today of course the wet balls, it was good. We didn't make the number of catches we should of, but we still made some key catches.

(on the quality deep passes caught today in practice)

Yesterday the defense made the plays. Today, offense made some plays down the field and that's part of camp because you install more things, you create more opportunities to make plays and that's what we did.

(on Jared Cook's performance)

We're moving him around a little bit and trying to create the match-ups. We're going to continue to load him up with the offense and create some match-ups. That's one thing he can do is usually come down with the ball in one-on-one situations.

(on Lavelle Hawkins' performance and the catches he made)

That's what you expect to see out of the younger players. Lavelle and Chris Davis made a lot of plays today. That's what camps about, is to see if they put that rookie year behind them and they've been able to move on.
